Resolved Question: Should I do pre-med requisites at city college or university? does it matter?

I am currently a Spanish major at UCI in Irvine, CA. Just recently I got interested in doing pre-med or pre-optometry. In either case, does it matter if I do these requisities at my current university or should I just take these classes off-campus at city college for 1 year? Would admission prefer courses to be taken at university since it is harder and also hard to get good grades compared to city?
